By late summer a wasp or hornet nest can hold several thousand insects. Getting close without protection, hosing it down or blocking its entrance triggers a collective defence: this is a job for an equipped professional.

The technician first identifies the species and spots the flight hole. In a full protective suit, he injects an approved insecticide into the heart of the nest, using a telescopic pole if needed: most nests under roofs, in hedges or in roller-shutter boxes can be reached without scaffolding. Activity stops within hours, and the nest is taken down when it can be reached.

    Inspect

    Species identified, nest and flight hole located, access and risks to occupants assessed.

  2. 02

    Treat

    Approved insecticide injected into the heart of the nest, by pole if necessary, ideally once the colony is back inside.

  3. 03

    Sanitise

    Nest removed when accessible, flight hole in the wall or shutter box blocked to limit a new colony the following year.

  4. 04

    Follow up

    Check that activity has stopped, photos and advice; if activity persists, we review it with you as set out in the protocol.

Do you also deal with honeybee swarms?

No, we do not destroy bees, which are precious pollinators. We refer you to a beekeeper who can collect the swarm.

I've spotted an Asian hornet nest: what should I do in the meantime?

Keep your distance, at least five metres, do not touch the nest and do not try to block or spray it. Close nearby windows, keep children and pets away, and note where it is so you can guide the technician.

Why doesn't the price depend on floor area?

Because we treat a nest, not square metres: the work is the same for a house, an upstairs flat or a shop. The price therefore stays fixed.
