Commitment 3/4 · Certibiocide and authorised products

Technicians trained in biocides, authorised products, measured doses

The Certibiocide is a mandatory personal certificate. We pair it with a simple rule: the right amount in the right place.

Sentinel Protocol: Inspect, Treat, Sanitise, Follow up

To buy or apply professional-only rodenticides and insecticides in France, you need a personal certificate: the Certibiocide. Its pest-control version is obtained after 21 hours of training and must be renewed every 5 years.

The certificate belongs to the person doing the work, not to the company. That is why we speak of technicians holding the Certibiocide, and each of them can show you theirs.

How we keep it

  1. 01

    Personal, valid certificate

Anyone applying a professional biocide at your premises holds their own, current Certibiocide.

  2. 02

    Authorised products

Only products with a marketing authorisation are used, as their label directs.

  3. 03

    Non-chemical when it is enough

Dry steam, heat, trapping, vacuuming and proofing come before insecticide when they solve the problem.

  4. 04

    Occupants protected

Secured bait stations, gel out of reach, instructions on airing rooms and when to go back in.

What the training covers

The programme covers biocide regulations, risks to human health, animals and the environment, the choice between chemical and alternative methods, and protective measures. It is the condition for access to professional products.

The certificate does not replace field experience, but it sets a common baseline: reading a label, respecting a dose, protecting occupants and being able to explain every choice.

Treating precisely rather than everywhere

The Treat stage of the Sentinel Protocol always follows from the inspection: we act where the signs are concentrated. Droplets of gel in cracks, baits locked in secured stations, direct injection into a nest: the amount of product stays small and localised.

For bed bugs, ANSES, the French health and safety agency, recommends favouring non-chemical methods. We follow that guidance and only use an insecticide when the situation requires it.

At home

Toddler, cat, dog, aquarium: tell us. The technician adapts products, their placement and the instructions to your household.

On business premises

For your audits or a hygiene inspection, the report lists the products used and their conditions of use.

What this commitment does not cover

Training and product authorisation govern how we treat. They do not replace the hygiene and proofing advice that reduces the risk of pests coming back.

How can I check that a technician is certified?

Ask them to show you their Certibiocide during the visit: it is a personal document.

Are the products a risk for my children or pets?

Any biocide has to be handled with care, so baits are locked in secured stations, gels are placed out of reach, and you get written instructions on airing and returning to the rooms.

Is a chemical product always needed?

No. Depending on the pest, dry steam, heat, mechanical trapping or proofing may be enough, or come first.
